A little bit about the one behind the lens... 

 

My name is Kayla; owner and photographer of Pure Joy Photography, daughter of Christ pursuing discipleship, lover of succulents, chick flicks and Dutch treats! I grew up outside of Oskaloosa and in the community of Pella, IA.

In my college years and beyond, I discovered my passion for mental health which landed me where I am now as a Director of Services for a local non-profit agency that serves individuals with mental health disabilities. From a young age, I have had a passion for working with children and families. Pure Joy Photography has been a creative outlet for me and a reminder that there is joy in the little moments of life. Whatever stage of life you are in or event that you would like to capture, I look forward to meeting you and working with you to create precious, timeless images for you to look back on for years to come!
